I was attending a summer school in Waterloo, Canada. On the weekend, we were invited to visit Niagara Falls. I had never been to any falls at that time, so I was glad to. Walking along the river bank, I could always feel the moisture. It was quite satisfying to stare at the teal river, ornamented by ships loaded with tourist, and covered by thick mist that the Falls created.
I was not a fan of the buildings around the Falls, but who can resist to have a look on the lofty observation tower! On the tower, everything looked smaller - the people, the ships, even the Falls, except for the pure-white mist, which soared high in the sky.
Afterwards, we went to a winery nearby. The lunch there was delicious. Our guide led us to their grape fields and their cellars. Before we left, he served us different kinds of wine samples. I loved their icewine best, which was sweet and full of aroma.
